"I am a retired woman, leaving New York City for Florida. With dread I went through weeks of preparation, anxious about what moving company to choose, there was no shortage of tales told me by others. I chose Volt out of eleven offers. First an agent assessed my household items followed by a total cubic footage and price estimate, with precise instructions on packaging. Except for a few personal boxes, Volt packed everything. Circumstances prevented me from being in Florida, Volt arranged for local storage for which I was not charged. The estimated price was what I actually paid. But the astonishing facts happened during pick-up day. I ran back to the apartment every hour or so. Two large book shelves were dismantled, unscrewed etc., I had prepared a large envelope but when I got there the screws were neatly packed in a little makeshift box. Every small cup was packed separately in two or three layers of paper. Nothing broke. Two glass tabel tops and thirty wall pictures, some under glass, arrived in perfect condition.
